Sony’s latest earbuds are the LinkBuds Clip. As the name implies, these are of the clip-on variety, a design that has become more and more popular with earbud makers recently.
The main upside of this design is that you can hear your music (or whatever’s playing through the buds) as well as your surroundings. Sony says it designed these for “a comfortable, stable fit across a variety of ear types with removable Fitting Cushions, ideal to wear throughout the day”.

The LinkBuds Clip have three listening modes: Standard, Voice Boost, and Sound Leakage Reduction. The app supports a ten-band EQ, and Sony promises these earbuds deliver “excellent call quality” too, using a bone conduction sensor to capture your voice and an AI-based noise reduction system to eliminate background noise.

The LinkBuds Clip have up to nine hours of battery life, or 37 hours when including the case. Quick charging gives you an hour of use in just three minutes. The earbuds are IPX4 rated for splash resistance, and they support Multipoint.

The LinkBuds Clip are now available in the US for $229.99 and in Canada for CAD 299.99 in black, greige, green, and lavender. Clip case covers and Fitting Cushions can be purchased directly from Sony for $24.99.
