There’s already been plenty of chatter around the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display. It’s tipped to sport a [6.89-inch M14 OLED panel](), deliver increased brightness, and use tougher glass. Now, a fresh leak reveals another long-awaited display upgrade.
According to well-known tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is confirmed to feature a 10-bit display panel. This would mark an upgrade over the 8-bit panel currently used on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

If the rumor is accurate, which it likely is, users can expect richer colors, smoother gradients, and improved HDR performance. While an 8-bit panel supports around 16.7 million colors, a 10-bit panel can reproduce over one billion colors.
Several competing brands have already adopted 10-bit displays on their flagship smartphones, so it’s nice to see Samsung bringing the same upgrade to the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. The handset is also rumored to bring a new Privacy Display feature.
